Brand Slogan Selected

As part of Current's new brand persona, our new slogan, “Always On,” will be used internally and lightly in the public eye. No graphic/lock up will be used externally at this time, but it will be used in text. For example: “See why Current is always on at www.gecurrent.com...”

We will be factoring our slogan into our new brand persona, and you will see it pop up within our marketing efforts. “Always On” should not be used on brochures, spec sheets, etc., but can be used in a company description.

Video Branding Compliance with GE

To remain compliant with our legal contract with GE, all off-brand videos from our YouTube channel have been removed (marking them private/unlisted). Videos used on product pages are still viewable; we are working on getting these links off the website within the next week or so.

We understand these videos are important, but it is not feasible to update every video immediately. Please understand that this is an ongoing process and the team is working diligently on rebranding.

U.S. 32-hour work-week & 401k changes

What is a 32-hour work week?

A 32-hour work week means employees will take a 20% reduction in pay in exchange for 20% less hours worked. The leadership team has agreed not to hold meetings on Fridays as a means of supporting a day off from work.

Does this mean we’re ‘closed’ on Friday?

We continue to be open for business. Our plants and distribution centers will be active, customer service will be available to support customers, and the AR/AP team will continue to be working.

Engineer's Week Quiz

To celebrate Engineer’s week, we’ve put together a daily quiz to test your nerdy knowledge, logical limits, and mathematical minds. All entries will be eligible to win raffle tickets for a prize at the E-Week Luncheon!

Thanks to all who participated. The quiz is now closed. We've highlighted the answers, did you know them all?

The winner will be announced at the Cleveland-based E-week Luncheon.

Customer Service Week 2019

The Current team recently celebrated Customer Service Week, a week dedicated to recognizing the job that customer service professionals do all year and the importance customer service plays in running a business. We sat down with our North America Customer Service Leader, Brant Snead, to get an update on the team. Check it out what Brant had to say below:

Product Spotlight: Cat-M Point to Point

Current recently announced the addition of a Cat-M Point to Point version to its LightGrid Outdoor Lighting Control System. The new Cat-M System allows nodes to communicate directly with the LightGrid CMS without the need for a gateway and also compliments existing mesh technology. Both systems enable remote monitoring, control, energy metering and asset management of outdoor light fixtures through a web-enabled central management system.
