Updated Face Covering Policy
February 28, 2022
On Friday, February 25, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued a new COVID-19 Community Risk Level Framework. The new framework is designed to help communities, individuals, and businesses make decisions based on their local context and their unique needs.
Consistent with past efforts to remain closely aligned with the most recent CDC guidance concerning the virus, Current is adopting the CDC’s Community Risk Level (CRL) Framework effective today.
Using the CRL, if the county in which a Current worksite is located has a “High” rating or if any county immediately surrounding the Current worksite is rated High, then employees, contractors, and visitors at the worksite must wear a face covering. Otherwise, a face covering is optional – though you are certainly free to wear one any time you desire to do so.
The CDC’s CRL is found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html. Site Leaders or persons responsible for monitoring worksite safety will alert you when a face covering is required to be worn at a worksite.
Regardless of the CRL rating, Site Leaders are permitted to use their discretion where allowed by applicable law to require a face covering when circumstances locally indicate doing so is necessary to protect individuals at a Current worksite.
You are reminded to please continue following our office safety guidelines and Current’s COVID-19 Prevention Protocol Matrix, which is posted on the Company intranet site under the Current Way tab. The business continues to strongly urge all individuals able to attain full vaccination to do so as the most effective means currently available to significantly mitigate the impact of COVID-19, both on the business and you.
If you have concerns or questions, please contact your manager directly or feel free to send an email to current.hr@gecurrent.com.
Thanks for your cooperation in keeping the business safe.

Vaccination & Testing Policy
January 18, 2021
As many of you know, last Thursday the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated a stay of OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) requiring all US employers with 100 or more employees to implement a vaccination and testing policy. Accordingly, the portion of Current’s Vaccination & Testing Policy (VTP) requiring either full vaccination or submittal to weekly COVID-19 testing is on hold pending further direction from the legal process.
Though the mandatory vaccination and testing aspects of the VTP are on hold, the COVID-19 Prevention Protocols contained within the VTP, as well as the separately issued COVID-19 Prevention Protocols Matrix that aligns with the most recent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance concerning the virus, are still in effect.
As we stated previously, please keep in mind that depending on the evolving nature of the virus, as well as changing regulatory and legal developments, Current may issue additional guidance and policies or may revise them to remain legally compliant.
Once again, we remind you to please wear a mask in accordance with Current’s COVID-19 Prevention Protocols and follow our office safety guidelines. The business strongly urges all individuals able to attain full vaccination to do so as the most effective means currently available to significantly mitigate the impact of COVID-19, both on the business and you.
If you have concerns or questions, please contact your manager directly or send an email to current.hr@gecurrent.com.
January 11, 2021
With our goal to keep all of our employees healthy and safe, we continue to proactively monitor changes to regulations and guidance from government agencies responsible for public health, safety, and welfare. Accordingly, we are apprising you of Current’s Vaccination & Testing Policy (VTP) required by the federal Occupational, Safety, & Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA issued an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) requiring all US employers with 100 or more employees to implement a vaccination and testing policy to address the spread of COVID-19. Current’s policy is available for your review.
The VTP provides employees the option to either obtain full vaccination or submit to weekly testing facilitated by the business. Details regarding securing full vaccination, submitting a record of vaccination, as well as Current’s testing procedures (if you elect not to achieve full vaccination) are contained in the VTP. In addition, the VTP updates Current’s COVID-19 Prevention Protocols to align with the most recent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance concerning the virus.
The VTP is effective today, January 11, 2022. Please keep in mind the VTP may change depending on the evolving nature of the virus, as well as changing regulatory and legal requirements.
We will continue voluntary remote work for the next few business days and return to our normal in-office schedule beginning on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. We remind you to please wear a mask in accordance with Current’s COVID-19 Prevention Protocols and follow our office safety guidelines.
If you have concerns or questions, please contact your manager directly or send an email to current.hr@gecurrent.com.
We wish each of you a very Happy New Year.
