Big Day Out at LightX
Current proudly participated at LightX, held in Orlando, Florida, where our booth stood out with some neon, a flashback to the 80's and a few twists. With a theme titled "Big Day Out," the booth featured a full-day music playlist curated from employee-submitted songs to a live “VJ,” creating a lively atmosphere for architectural solutions and product innovations.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with customers in a welcoming and focused environment that fostered meaningful conversations. Special thanks go out to everyone who visited the booth, and to Bell & McCoy Companies for their continued partnership and support. Looking for some great photos? In Session #6 of our AI for You: 30min Series to Work Smarter, we focused on Building Your Own AI Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
5 reasons why Copilot Agents are better than your standard Copilot:
- Agents are specialized, context-aware digital assistants you create for specific workflows or recurring tasks.
- Unlike standard Copilot, which acts as a general-purpose AI helper and requires detailed prompts each time, agents are pre-configured to understand your task, context, and output needs right from the start.
- Greater efficiency: Agents deliver consistently structured, high-quality outputs with fewer prompts, reducing the need for repeat or clarifying instructions.
- Deeper integration: They connect directly to your team’s document libraries, files, and use cases to automate routines, deliver guided workflows, and reliably output your preferred format (table, report, summary, chart).
- Proactive results: While standard Copilot responds to one prompt at a time, agents can perform guided, step-by-step processes, gather information, and provide actionable follow-ups.
How to Build an Agent in M365 Copilot:
- Open the M365 Copilot App, then select “Create Agent.”
- Specify details like:
- Instructions: State exactly what tasks the agent should perform.
- Name & Description: Clarify the purpose and when to use it.
- Knowledge Sources: Point to SharePoint folders, files, or other resources.
- Capabilities: Define what your agent can access.
- Suggested Prompts: Add shortcuts to guide users in interacting with the agent.
- Test thoroughly: Start simple, iterate with real scenarios, and use Copilot Researcher for instruction suggestions.
Pro Tip: Start with one clearly defined process – keep your first agent specific and simple. Once you see success, expand its scope or build additional agents. Clear, focused agents outperform those that try to do too much at once.
