LEDucation 2025: Showcasing Innovation and Connecting with Customers
LEDucation 2025 took place in New York City March 18-19, drawing a large crowd to Current’s booth. As North America’s largest annual lighting industry gathering, LEDucation showcased the latest in lighting technology and provided a platform for industry professionals to connect and learn. Attendees were eager to explore Current’s NX Room Controller and our latest Hand Held device, engaging with the team to learn more about these cutting-edge solutions.
The event saw strong participation from Current’s commercial team, as well as members of the executive team. LEDucation featured 475 exhibitors across four exhibit halls. Multiple customer meetings were held, and the event also provided an opportunity to meet with candidates. Many of our employees were in action: Bill Bruggemeier showcasing the NX Hand Held, Steve Andrzejewski presenting GLI products, and Evan White discussing Specification products.
The preparation for this successful event which attracted ~10,000 attendees involved significant effort, special thanks to Dawn Kack and Alex Price for their dedication and hard work in making this event a success.

In today’s digital world, convenience is key, yet every download carries potential risks. Malware, such as viruses, ransomware, spyware, and trojans, can lurk in unexpected places, ready to compromise your device and personal data. It's crucial to stay vigilant and adopt safe downloading habits to protect your devices and your privacy.
Why Should You Care About Malware?
Malware is malicious software designed to harm your device, steal your data, or even hold it hostage. It can enter your system through seemingly harmless downloads, like apps, files, or email attachments. Once installed, malware can:

When downloading apps, especially from mobile devices, take a moment to review the permissions the app needs. If an app asks for more access than necessary (like asking for access to your camera or contacts for a simple game), think twice before continuing.

Pack produce boxes for local families
Our fresh food box programs provide individuals facing food insecurity with a healthy variety of fresh produce, including items sourced from local farmers. We rely on the generous support of volunteers to help us pack boxes in a warehouse which will be delivered to our partner sites in Pickens & Oconee counties.
What to expect on packing day:
Arrive at Feed & Seed fifteen minutes early so that you have time to sign in, wash your hands, and put on hair nets and gloves. Once all volunteers have arrived, we will circle up to discuss our Fresh Food Box programs and go over food safety guidelines.

Tijuana Plant Promotes Employee Health
At our Tijuana plant, we recently offered cervical cancer screening tests for our female employees as part of our ongoing commitment to health and well-being. This initiative provided an important opportunity for early detection and prevention.
In addition, we organized two informative talks for all employees: one focused on the “Human Papillomavirus (HPV)” and the other on “Cervical Cancer.” These sessions aimed to raise awareness and promote education on these critical health issues, empowering our team to make informed decisions about their health. At our company, we prioritize the well-being of our employees, and these actions reflect our dedication to fostering a healthy and supportive work environment.
Celebrating International Women's Day
Current celebrated International Women's Day with special events and initiatives, across the company in March, recognizing the achievements and contributions of women. As part of the LUMEN group’s initiatives, employees were invited to wear purple to commemorate the day.
