500 TONNAGE PRESS REPAIR PROJECT
Due to the great commitment of the team – success has been had! Congratulations to the Tijuana crew were able to accomplish significant repairs to the 500 Tonnage Press with clear planning, excellent logistical support, and specific refurbishment in a finite period of time.
What Happened?
The Current Tijuana team detected a major oil leak in the main overload system of the 500 Tonnage Press, which in addition to safety concerns, made its operation impossible compromising the commitments we had we LCAT/LCAT-S products. (Our main production lines in Tijuana and one of the most important in the organization).
The Fix
For the repair, the team had to refurbish the overload chambers and general maintenance of pumps and valves of the hydraulic system, having 26 days to complete this task. They started the project understanding the criticality of the situation and used project management tools, root cause analysis and a communication plan, allowing everyone involved to play to win as a team, demonstrating a sense of urgency and our company value of #Outcome Driven. Congratulations to the team. Drop some Applause today.
