BALLFIELD BENEFITS NEW HIGH OUTPUT LED LAMP
Baseball is a challenging sport to play, and it can be even tougher at night on a poorly lit field. Baseball players had been subjected to those conditions on a baseball field in Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada, due to old HID lighting. So, the town decided it was time to upgrade to LED lighting. Yet they weren’t ready to replace all the fixtures. Instead, the 40 existing 1500W metal halide lamps were replaced with the brightest LED lamp in the world.

USA & CANADA FLEXIBLE WORKPLACE POLICY CHANGE
The Flexible Workplace Policy categorizes employees into three groups: fixed, flexible and virtual. This policy is limited to the United States and Canada.
Effective Monday, October 2, 2023, we are changing the definition of our flexible categorization to add one (1) additional day to assigned in-office days per week, totaling four (4) in-office workdays, with one (1) day allowed for virtual office.
We are making this change to improve our overall performance. We believe in the powerful cultural benefits of working in an office together – it’s important to engage frequently with coworkers to stay aligned to our core values and be mission focused.

CHINA'S ENCYCLOPEDIA LECTURE SERIES
The Encyclopedia Lecture Series in China was created to bring learning to our employees. The fourth lecture, led by Helen Wang, introduced Terminology, LED Optical Design and Colorimetry. Focusing on theory, colorimetry is based on the measurement of the wavelength and the intensity of electromagnetic radiation in the visible region of the spectrum. It is used to identify and determine the concentration of substances that absorb light. The interaction was excellent with participants increasing their interest in some application and raising many questions. The raffle winner was also selected to earn Applause Points!

CULTURE COMMITTEES AROUND THE WORLD CELEBRATE OUR EMPLOYEES
MEXICO INDEPENDENCE DAY - LEARN MORE
On September 16, Mexicans around the globe celebrated the anniversary of the country’s independence from Spain. The day is marked by a national holiday in Mexico, a reenactment of a historic moment from the revolution’s leader, and an array of performances from fireworks to dance routines.
Often confused with Cinco de Mayo by people living in the United States, Mexico’s independence day actually marks the moment in 1810 when Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a Catholic priest known as Father Hidalgo, made the first cry for independence.

The Tijuana employees marked the day with a very spicy moment when holding the Best Sauce Contest, where the jury made up of different departments got to try 14 different sauces and rate the 3 best based on the flavor, texture, presentation, and spiciness. The top 3 sauces were: La Sospechosa, La Inventada & Chitos. The final tastings will be held Wednesday, where the winner will win a great prize!

Acuña
There were 9 employees who registered for the “La Voz Mexicana” contest in Acuña, the participants sang great regional hits such as “Se me ovidó otra vez”, “Un Millón de Primaveras”, “Sabor a Mí”, among other songs.
Participants perform daily, until the finale which will take place on Friday. Good luck to the participants! Concurso La Voz Mexicana Current Acuna.mp4
