It was a busy and energizing week as the team headed to Philadelphia for LIGHTFAIR International 2019, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. This year, LIGHTFAIR welcomed over 27,000 attendees from 85 countries and hosted 500+ exhibitors.

We had some pretty exciting things going on this week from countless booth tours and meetings, to filming an upcoming Get a Grip on Lighting podcast episode straight from the booth, hosting an agent training and a Smart Cities Workshop, and also an interactive session where attendees could put their lighting knowledge to the test. The team left with almost 1200 lead scans, blowing their goal of 800 out of the water!

Going Beyond Energy Savings

We took advantage of the show’s massive reach by unveiling a series of new products and digital solutions designed to enhance productivity for our channel partners and customers. Our focus this year was on extending benefits beyond energy savings with innovative approaches to installation, component modularity and asset management.

Colin Woodford fires up our latest horticulture products, including the Arize Element TopLight, the industry’s first one-to-one LED replacement for 1,000 Watt HPS lamps.

CityIQ Beefs Up Biking Capabilities

Our CityIQ hardware is being paired with app partners to spawn entrepreneurship and improve public safety and mobility. In addition to helping police solve crimes, we have a new bicycle planning API in the works to help cities make informed investment decisions, improve biker safety and increase biking as a percentage of mobility. Disinfection Technology Preps for Launch

Hear from Kevin Benner on our new LBU22 which will be launching for the first time this year. This UV lighting solution invisibly kills harmful pathogens and bacteria in sensitive spaces like hospital rooms, and unlike current disinfection technologies, our continuously active solution is safe to use while people are in the room.
