Despite the difficult first quarter for the commercial team, there were also many outstanding performances to recognize across the function. Check them out.

Congratulations to our Q1 Global Commercial Winners!

Sales Representative Q1 2019:  Sandy Nosco – Retail

Through her persistence and professionalism, Sandy Nosco landed a 250-store retrofit program with Lowe’s in 2019.  On the heels of the 2018 139-store win that was worth $16M in indoor product, this marks a significant share gain, and upwards of $40M in Current product.  This has been a multi-year pursuit, and Sandy has remained a champion for this program for over 4 years.

Channel Sales Representative Q1 2019:  Dwain Robinson – Channel Management

Dwain was nominated for the Channel award for Q1 based on his ability to capture the Wells Fargo orders.  Initially the order slipped out of Q1 due to travel delays from weather slowing down the branch analysis.  He was able to bring the order in based on our inventory position, blackout period and his relationship with Crescent and CED.  He also worked with Matt Morrison at Coresential to keep things moving forward.

MVP Q1 2019:  Brooke Cardarella – Human Resources

Brooke led the Commercial HR team during the AIP transition while also serving on the Transition team.  She navigated the Commercial HR retention activities through a long and tumultuous 500 days of employee & manager challenges demonstrating calm and thoughtful leadership.

She successfully implemented a new benefit plan in the US and Canada that met GE’s requirement of “comparability of benefits” and she fought to maintain some of the most critical benefits for the sales team.  She spent a significant amount of time searching for creative solutions where gaps were identified and presenting a plan for each gap to ensure the Transition moved forward smoothly.

Solution Engineer Q1 2019:  Andrew Fisher - Retail

Andy has been a critical team member in winning the 2019 Lowe’s LED retrofit program.  He has provided input on all product specifications, worked closely with supply chain and contractors on the installation of two test stores with our LED and Daintree products, and is spending a tremendous amount of time in the field with contractors as they begin installations without products.  He has built credibility within Lowe’s engineering and facilities teams.  Andy is the definition of a problem-solving Solution Engineer, and the Lowe’s win is the outcome of that performance.

Sales Leader Q1 2019:  Derek Publicover – Retail

Derek and the Retail team achieved $17M in Orders and $13.1M in Sales in Q1, driven by a historic retrofit award at Lowe’s and Simon Properties. Derek has built an impressive Retail team through a lot of hard work, which landed the next whale at Lowe’s and got the team in the digital game with the big Giant Eagle win!

Also see below for some of the top deals of the quarter. All of this would not have happened without the tireless efforts and dedication by all our cross functional peers.

JPMC, Walmart, Lowe’s, Sainsbury, Sobeys, AutoZone, Walmart, Simon Properties, Amazon and Facebook.
