At Current, we celebrate the global holidays that bring our teams closer together!
The USA celebrates Thanksgiving this Thursday, and it isn’t just about turkey and football— it’s a moment when our U.S. colleagues pause to reflect, gather with loved ones, and celebrate gratitude in its purest form. The holiday reminds us that gratitude is a gift we can give each other every day.
The following day, November 29th, marks what was once known as Black Friday, the beginning of the holiday shopping season, which is now underway in earnest.
Fun Fact 1: Thanksgiving, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, has roots dating back to 1621 when Pilgrims and Native Americans came together for a feast. Fun Fact 2: The Day After Thanksgiving, a major shopping day, is now observed worldwide with many countries adopting similar sales events to kick off the holiday season.
How We Can Join In the Spirit:
- Before you hit “send,” ask yourself: Is this colleague out of the office for Thanksgiving?
- Celebrate your own “teamsgiving”— Use Applause to drop a quick thank-you note to someone who’s helped you this year.
Happy Thanksgiving to our U.S. colleagues—and to everyone, because gratitude knows no borders.
Performance Days - Looking Back on 2024
Performance days are when employees and their people leaders engage in a series of activities culminating in a performance dialogue. Performance days are required for every salaried and hourly non-production employee hired on or before September 30, 2024.
Each of you need to know how you’re doing and how you can improve. Performance days are an opportunity to celebrate your accomplishments, identify how your manager can best support your performance and think about your overall career growth.
To get started, complete your employee self-assessment in ADP by EOD Friday, Dec. 6th.
All training materials for this year are available on our Learning Channel under Performance Days.

The Hendersonville team attended a recent Chamber of Commerce bowling event. This was a really great way to relax and appreciate the camaraderie of those we work with. Teams competed in a fun and friendly atmosphere, showcasing not just bowling skills but also great team spirit. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a memorable success!

Success in the Service Culture Workshops
Teams around the world continue to engage in the Creating a Culture of Service workshops. Recent participation in Acuna was a resounding success. Participants were immersed into hands-on relevant activities, which not only provided them with valuable tools to improve customer service, but also allowed them to enjoy an interactive and collaborative environment.
Throughout the workshop, the teams experienced empathy, active listening and effective problem solving, all of the key elements in creating a culture of service. Employees participated enthusiastically, sharing experiences and strategies.

Everyone was motivated to apply what they learned to their daily job. The workshop not only met its objective of strengthening the service culture in the Acuna Plant but also created a positive impact on the team, reaffirming their commitment to excellence in customer service.
Mental Health: Exploring Our Emotions
Recently, one of our Mexico facilities offered our employees the session “Let’s Talk About Mental Health”, a space designed to reflect on the importance of understanding and managing our emotions. During the session, we addressed key topics to strengthen emotional well-being, providing practical tools to face daily challenges. We thank all participants for their interest and openness. Initiatives like this reinforce our commitment to the overall well-being of our work community. Let’s continue building an environment where mental health is a priority!

2024 Emergency Brigades Program
This week, we proudly recognized the participants of the emergency brigades program from both shifts. These dedicated individuals have spent the year honing their skills and working as a team to ensure the safety of our Acuña Plant. Their selfless commitment and readiness to respond in critical moments make a significant difference, and we deeply appreciate their tireless efforts. Thanks to their dedication, our community is better prepared for emergencies. Congratulations to all for this important achievement! Let’s keep working together to make Ciudad Acuña a safer place for everyone.
