The HLI Agent Council meeting was held at the Omni Barton Creek in Austin, TX November 4 -6, 2024. This is an annual meeting connecting our Current leadership team and RVPs with our top agent principals. Steve Harris, CEO, and Chip Taylor, CCO, kicked off the meeting reconfirming our commitment to service excellence, and announced strategic decisions to expand our national sales team in the USA and focus on newly created Key Account Management and other sales positions that will increase our top line revenue.
Bo Harris, Dodge Data Analyst, joined as our guest speaker highlighting comprehensive data and analytics. He also provided actionable insights to drive growth in 2025 and beyond. Jason Sherrill, VP/GM of Indoor and Controls, alongside Tom Boyle, VP/GM Outdoor, shared an in depth look at our portfolio of solutions and how we are positioned for long-term sustainable growth.
We provided the agents with a tour of our world-class Controls and Software Design Center of Excellence located in Round Rock, TX. We also conducted interactive break-out sessions to showcase what is coming in 2025, and all the great work we are doing to reshape the future of integrated controls and lighting.
The Leadership Team Visited the Acuna Plant
Recently, the SLT leadership team visited the Acuna Plant, where they took the opportunity to explore processes, review Acuna’s important topics and agenda, and learn about the site’s continuous improvement program. The visit was more than just a tour of the plant and meetings. Together with the SLT Team, the new cafeteria was inaugurated, and they had the opportunity to participate in the breast cancer awareness fair, as well as plant trees and have fun playing a game of foosball.

New Supplier Transaction Approval Policy
The Sourcing Team is excited to announce the new Supplier Transaction Approval Policy (STAP), designed to enhance transparency, efficiency, and risk management in our procurement process. As we continue to grow, the STAP will serve as a crucial framework for ensuring the highest standards of supplier engagement by providing guidance to enable Current’ personnel to apply a consistent, streamlined approach to the administration, review, and negotiation of sourcing agreements.

AI use is logged, and its use is granted through a Summit Helpdesk Service Request ticket. The ticket request is under the IT Security section in Summit. Recovery after Hurricane Helene
At almost 300 miles from the nearest ocean, with an elevation greater than 2,200 feet above sea level, it seemed almost unfathomable that hurricane force winds and rains could affect the communities surrounding the Current Lighting facility in East Flat Rock.
Yet on the morning of September 27th, the western region of North Carolina would find itself right at the center of Hurricane Helene. As the eye of the storm ascended the mountains most utility services would be cut off and calls would not go through. Despite this limitation, many felt the calling and came to offer their assistance to those in need.
Those serving with the Hendersonville Rescue Squad and Green River Fire and Rescue, as well as other teams, would work countless hours to rescue those trapped or swept up in debris.
As FEMA would set up their point of operations at Blue Ridge Community College, soldiers in Humvees and personnel carriers would roll into the National Guard Armory down the road from the plant. Right behind them were countless volunteers from the Cajun Navy, Operation Airdrop, the United Way, Samaritan’s Purse, Baptists on Mission, the American Red Cross, local churches, and so many more. Where the COVID-19 pandemic had disrupted a sense of community in years past, the silver lining to the storm was seeing neighbors stepping in to assist those worse off than themselves and come together once more. So many gave freely of their time, effort, money, and anything else that could benefit their neighbors. Community members would organize teams of volunteers to run chainsaws, cook and prepare meals, tear out wet drywall, replace carpet, and even open their own homes for others to bathe, clean laundry, recharge medical equipment and mobile devices so that they could contact their loved ones. While many Current Lighting employees would participate in these efforts, most will shy away from receiving credit. Among them are members of our maintenance team, EHS, IT, and managers that continued working to make the facility operational, while ensuring each of our employees were safe through the storm and afterwards.

Virtual Chair Yoga & Breathwork: Wrapping Up the Wellness Challenge
To celebrate the conclusion of our 13-week Wellness Challenge, the Culture Committee hosted a virtual Chair Yoga and Breathwork session. This session, designed to promote relaxation and reduce stress, was accessible to all team members, regardless of experience or physical ability. Led by a professional instructor, participants learned simple techniques to improve posture, flexibility, and mindfulness. A big thank you to everyone who joined us! HVL Celebrated Veterans Day
To show support for veterans, the Hendersonville team welcomed them with a delicious breakfast, where they were able to enjoy different dishes and spend quality time with the team.
Ivanhoe Paid Tribute to Richard Scherer
The team at Ivanhoe gathered to remember and celebrate the life of our friend and colleague, Richard Scherer. Together, they enjoyed a steak cookout in his honor, sharing stories and memories of Richard’s time with the team. As a lasting tribute, they planted a tree on the grounds, symbolizing the strength and enduring impact he left on the team. Richard’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to grow alongside us.
Celebrating the Day of the Dead at the Tijuana Site
At Tijuana, they celebrated the Day of the Dead with an altar, which paid tribute to loved ones and pets who are no longer with us. This tradition is a beautiful reflection of Mexican culture, where death is celebrated as part of the cycle of life. To accompany this day, the Tijuana team shared bread of the dead and hot chocolate with all the collaborators.
