Current Expands Operations with New Warehouse Serving Greater Chicago
Current is excited to announce the opening of a new regional warehouse for HLI, strategically located to serve the Chicago area—including Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa. As of April 21, our Chicago coverage is fully active, with next-day ground shipping now available.
This new facility boasts a substantial capacity with 322 pallets available, ensuring efficient receipt and dispatch of our products. The warehouse is equipped with:
- Shipping to Chicago: Reliable and timely deliveries to the Chicago area.
- Pallets and Shrink-Wrapping Machine in place: Ensuring secure packaging and handling of goods.
- Work Bench for Shipments: Facilitating organized and efficient processing of orders.
Will Call Pickup: Convenient option for customers to collect their orders directly from the warehouse.
With these features, Current is committed to enhancing our service and meeting the needs of our customers in the Chicago region. We look forward to providing exceptional service and support from our new facility.

The Acuna Plant Welcomes Surge
The team at the Acuna site continues to move forward with determination and enthusiasm. The arrival of the new production line, Surge, marked an exciting milestone. While the implementation presented challenges, the team's dedication and hard work ensured a successful, on-time launch.
From day one, this project demanded greater agility, resilience, and collaboration—qualities the team demonstrated at every step. Together, they’ve proven that no obstacle is too great when we unite with a shared purpose.
This milestone represents more than just a technical and operational success—it’s a powerful testament to our ability to adapt, grow, and excel. Teams from both Tijuana and Acuna worked hand in hand to ensure every detail met—and exceeded—expectations.

Continuing our miniseries of the previous two issues, removing your personal information from the Web can help protect you from scammers. In today's digital age, personal information can easily be found online, often without your consent.
This information can include your name, address, phone number, email address, and even more sensitive data. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to remove or minimize your digital footprint. It can be a challenging but necessary task to protect your privacy. Here are some steps to follow on how to do it, along with some useful links to help you through the process
1.- Identify Where Your Information Is
Start by searching for your name on popular search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Be sure to use variations of your name, including proper names and initials. Make a list of websites where your information appears.
2.- Contact Website Owners
Reach out to the administrators of the websites where your information is listed. Most websites have a contact form or an email address for privacy concerns. Request that they remove your information.
3. Use Online Removal Tools
There are several online services that can help you remove your information from the web. Some of these services monitor the web for your personal data and help you remove it. Here are a few:
- Google: Use Google's removal tool to request the deletion of specific URLs from search results.
- Norton: Norton offers various privacy tools and monitoring services that can help you remove your information from various websites.
- Yahoo: Yahoo has a privacy dashboard where you can manage and delete your data.
4. Opt-Out of Data Broker Sites
Data brokers collect and sell personal information. You can opt-out of these sites to prevent them from sharing your data. Some popular data broker sites include: Spokeo; Whitepages; Intelinus. Each site has its own opt-out process, usually found in their privacy policy or help section.
5.- Remove Information from Social Media
Review your privacy settings on social media platforms like Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Remove any unnecessary personal information and adjust your settings to limit who can see your data.
6. Use Legal Means
If a website refuses to remove your information, you may have legal recourse. The General Data Protection.
Regulation (GDPR) in Europe and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States provide rights to individuals to request the deletion of their personal data. You may have other resources based on your location.
Monitor Your Information - Removing your personal information from the Web requires diligence and persistence. Regularly monitoring for any new instances of your information and taking prompt action can help you to keep your personal information safe and private. To assist you in that process, Google provides a fairly comprehensive service to alert you when information is discovered in its searches. Click here.

Global Holiday Awareness

On Monday, May 19, our Canadian colleagues will be observing Victoria Day, a national holiday that dates to 1845. It was originally established to mark the birthday of Queen Victoria, who reigned over the British Empire during a pivotal time in Canada’s development. The day reflects Canada's historical ties to the monarchy and its evolution as a constitutional democracy. Victoria Day is a federally recognized holiday and is celebrated in most provinces as the first long weekend of the summer season.
Fun Facts About Victoria Day:
- It's sometimes nicknamed the “May Two-Four” weekend—a nod to both the date and the popular Canadian slang for a 24-pack of beer.
- Queen Victoria's actual birthday is May 24, but the holiday is observed on the Monday before May 25.
- In cities like Ottawa and Toronto, it's marked with parades, historical reenactments, and even cannon salutes on Parliament Hill.

As a proud sponsor of United Way and Hands On Greenville Day, Current partnered with Sustaining Way a nonprofit dedicated to building sustainable, caring, and equitable communities. Volunteers supported activities at their demonstration site, including:
- Weeding and mulching various areas
- Planting flowers for pollinators and vegetables
- Cleaning and prepping the office building for painting
It is rewarding when we get together and give back to our communities, extending our company value of #DOINGRIGHT beyond our business walls.
Lumens Meditation: Connection and Self-Love in Acuna
The Lumen group in Acuna hosted an uplifting guided meditation session focused on self-connection and self-love. Led by Lorena Karilu Vázquez, participants engaged in calming exercises that fostered self-acceptance in a serene, supportive atmosphere.
We’re confident attendees left with practical tools to support their mental and emotional well-being. More than just a moment of relaxation, the session offered a meaningful opportunity to deepen self-connection.
