Creating a Service Culture
A Service Culture exists when our team members are motivated to take a customer-centric approach using active listening, empathy and problem-solving skills in their regular duties and work activities. A group of employees have been nominated as Training Facilitators to guide our sites through a ½ day workshop on what a service culture really embodies at Current. More details coming soon.
We asked and you answered!
Peers have recognized the outstanding efforts of many employees. Each nomination has its own video so you can hear “in their own words” why they were selected.
Congratulations to our employees. Each person wins 150 Applause Points. Visit our Learning Channel Service Culture page to watch their nominating video and then drop Applause to celebrate!

Investing in the Next Generation of Talent, an interview with PJ Oschmann, Intern

PJ is a Software Engineering Major at Baldwin Wallace University slated to graduate in 2025, working this summer in our Beachwood, OH office.
PJ, tell us what you’ve been working on this summer in your internship?
A: “Working with the Current team has been very valuable. I’ve been focused on problem solving and software projects. My first project involved finishing a graphical program to make programming LED drivers easier. My second project included creating a new app for diagnosing Daintree devices.
While there's already a diagnostics app on iOS that serves this purpose, the new app I'm working on uses a cross-platform toolkit, meaning it will run on both iOS and Android. The new app will also implement new diagnostic operations that aren't present in the iOS application.”
What have you learned through this experience?
A: “The most valuable thing I've learned so far is how companies like Current handle projects and teamwork. In school, most of the work I do is either solo projects or small-team projects; learning how larger-scale projects work with many team members has been very insightful.”
How will your internship help you professionally?
A: “This internship has given me the chance to hone my programming skills and to apply them to new situations. I've also been able to engage in problem solving during my projects, figuring out solutions to stubborn bugs and issues. Additionally, opportunities like demoing my work during sprint reviews has helped me improve my ability to professionally communicate technical information to many people who may not initially be familiar with the project.”
