Strengthening Our Service Culture: A Journey Together
Last week 12 of our team members participated in a weeklong Culture of Service Train-the-Trainer in GVL. This was more than just a training session; it was an opportunity to gain tools and inspiration needed to lead workshops across Current. This group of 12 have a specific goal - to ensure that our commitment to service is felt in every team and department.
Our journey to enhance our Service Culture began with the feedback received from the All-Employee Engagement Survey last January. Your opinions inspired us to create this workshop series that aligns with our vision for Explore 2024, focusing on how we can better serve our customers and support one another.
We conducted 35 Focus Groups, where we learned from your insights and experiences. The Focus Group data culminated in a common definition of service and the 3 key skills that are essential for creating a service culture; active listening, problem-solving, and empathy. We then launched service awards and 18 employees across Current were recognized for demonstrating these 3 key skills.
At the heart of our service culture is our people. Congratulations to our TTT team of 12 - Mariana, Kendrick, Angelo, David, Mike, Emily, Skylar, Doria, Carlos, Grisel, Fatima, and Katie! We look forward to being invited to your workshops this fall.

Global Holiday Awareness
At Current, our global team spans multiple time zones and continents. Embracing our diverse holidays is key to promoting inclusivity and work-life balance.
- Summer Bank Holiday in the UK - August 26th. It is celebrated on the last Monday of August. This long weekend marks the unofficial end of summer and is a time for relaxation, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying the last of the summer weather.
- Labor Day: USA and Canada - September 2nd. Labor Day, celebrated on the first Monday of September in both the U.S. and Canada, is a time to appreciate the hardworking souls that power our economies. But did you know that Canada actually beat the U.S. to the Labor Day party? They kicked off the tradition in 1872, a full decade before their southern neighbors!
Two tips for a respectful global workplace:
- - Check Out-of-Office Notices: Be mindful of colleagues who are unavailable due to the holiday.
- - Use "Delay Delivery": Schedule emails to arrive at a convenient time for recipients in different time zones.
Current is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.
By participating, we are raising funds to help these kids and to support the Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and to find a cure for childhood cancer.
As we take on the challenge, we are inviting YOU to help us reach our goal of 5,500 total miles ridden during the month of September and a goal of $15,500 raised.

United Way of Henderson County - Day of Action
United Way of Henderson County thanked the Hendersonville site employees for volunteering at this year's Day of Action at Hillandale Elementary School. Without a doubt, each of you is making an impact in this community.
Scavenger Hunt in Montreal
The Montreal team's scavenger hunt through Downtown was a thrilling adventure, made even more exciting by the presence of Gino, our VP of Marketing from Beachwood. As they raced through the city’s iconic streets, the blend of local knowledge and fresh perspectives turned the hunt into a dynamic team-building experience.
Celebrating Innovation in Acuna
The Acuna plant witnessed an incredible moment at the grand finale of the first Lean Event. Three teams from local universities, full of talent and dedication, showcased the best of their projects implemented in the areas of MPS, Electronics, and ABV, where they demonstrated the use of Lean tools and the significant savings and improvements generated by each team, creating an atmosphere charged with energy and excitement.
After careful review and much deliberation, the results were as follows:
