Service Culture

Creating a Service Culture

We’ve launched our Creating a Service Culture initiative. In the last year, we learned that we have many different definitions of service and expectations. Phase 1 initiates this month (April) with 30 focus groups. Team members will gather information on definitions of service, what good service looks like and the challenges that prevent positive execution. Phase 2 will involve service experiences and Phase 3 will include workshops. Be on the lookout for invitations to join a session near you.

Signage Sales Wins

Signage Sales Wins

Our Signage Sales team has had a successful start to 2024, demonstrating our commitment to delivering quality solutions for our partners and clients. The team has achieved some great wins recently, which we're proud to share with you.

Chili's Neon-to-LED Transition: We landed our first two locations with Chili's, thanks to the hard work of Patrick Mulholland, RSM – West Region, who collaborated with Coast Sign to create a prototype using our Contour Gen2 product. In parallel, Ron Glaeser worked with Brinker International, Chili's parent company, to explain the value of our solution, which was one of the two approved for this brand.

HCA Healthcare Rebranding: HCA Healthcare, the largest healthcare provider in the country, is currently undergoing a comprehensive rebranding initiative. Thanks to the efforts of Kevin Rourke (DMA), working with Monigle, the signage specifier, to obtain approval for the Tetra brand as the sole specification for this program. Kevin's strategic approach and our layout team's expertise in recommending the best solutions were instrumental in securing this specification. The program will roll out regionally over the next two years.

Expansion of Distribution Partnerships: We have welcomed two new distribution partners in the US, addressing market gaps and expanding our market coverage. This targeted approach aligns with our goal of increasing market share.

With several promising opportunities in the pipeline, the team looks forward to future success in 2024.Congratulations to the team. Drop some Applause today.

Genex ClinicalCare24

We are partnering with Genex ClinicalCare24 services to provide 24-7-365 access to a triage nurse at our factories in the United States, for any non-emergent workplace injuries that may occur. Registered nurses will now be available remotely, day or night, by calling Genex ClinicalCare24 at 1-855-310-6632. For all non-emergency workplace injuries, employees will be directed to contact Genex ClinicalCare24 to speak with a bilingual nurse remotely, when an account nurse is unavailable in person. Interpreter services are available upon request in each language.

For U.S. locations that already have an account nurse on site, the ClinicalCare24 program will offer additional support during shifts that the account nurse would otherwise not be available, such as overnight or during the weekend. Please review the resources to learn more!

Baltimore Bridge Collapse Impacts Us

The recent collapse of the Baltimore Bridge is a tragic reminder of the supply chain challenges we experienced during COVID-19 and the recent loss of life. Many of you have asked if Current is impacted and how we will respond. Since Baltimore is one of the largest ports in the USA, we did have 13 containers on the water routed to arrive in the next handful of days and a delivery that was unloaded in Baltimore just recently. The only site impacted will be Harrisburg RDC and the team is working to reroute steamships to other ports. Once cleared through the port they will coordinate the final delivery to Harrisburg RDC. They will work with the freight forwarders and ocean liners to minimize disruptions.

Benefits Spotlight

Global Holidays Awareness

We celebrate diversity and respect work-life balance by acknowledging holidays from around the world. Check those out-of-office notifications prior to sending emails. Use the “Delay Send” option as needed.

China observes Tomb Sweeping Holiday from April 4th to April 6th. The holiday is meant to commemorate and pay respect to a person’s ancestors. Thus, on Tomb Sweeping Day, families visit and clean the gravesite of their ancestors to show their respect. In addition, Qingming (清明) in Chinese mean 'clearness' and 'brightness'. It is the fifth of the 24 solar terms of the traditional Chinese solar calendar, marking the start of the warm weather of spring and the beginning of farm work.

Happy Nowruz

As we welcome the arrival of spring, we also recognize Nowruz, the Persian New Year, a time-honored festival steeped in tradition and symbolism. While not a holiday with time-off from work, it's a time of vibrant celebrations, family gatherings, and the setting of the symbolic "Haft Seen" table, adorned with seven items representing concepts like beauty, health, and sunrise. Nowruz is a profound reflection of life's eternal cycles—the shedding of the old to make way for the new, the triumph of light over darkness, and the promise of fresh beginnings.

March Appreciation Month

Partnering with our Culture Committee members and employees across our footprint, leaders across the business held three informal “pop-ins” focused on gratitude and a bit of trivia last month. We congratulate our three lucky winners: María Elena Reyna from Acuna, Aaron Pacheco from Plympton, and Douglas Wind from Greenville, who each won a set of Airpods for participating in the trivia and having the top right answers! Thanks to all participants for making the events enjoyable, and a special shout-out to our facilitators.

Stay tuned for more fun events coming soon. Joining together we can powerfully shape our organization and become not just a place you choose to join, but an organization you are proud to work at every day.

Our Beachwood team actively participated at the Cleveland Food Bank. They were involved in loading shelves with essential grocery and hygiene items, ensuring that the shelves were well-stocked for the community in need. Beyond this, they had the privilege of escorting members of the community as they shopped for their essential food items, providing assistance, and support along the way. Finally, they assisted in loading the grocery items into their vehicles. “It was heartening to be part of such a vital initiative, knowing that our efforts directly impacted the lives of those facing food insecurity in our community.”

That’s all for this week!

We are thankful for the many contributions. The next currently is scheduled for distribution 04/16/2024.
