Tijuana Welcomes Visitors

The Tijuana plant welcomed Steve Harris, CEO; Joe Cenin, Chief Supply Chain & Operations Officer; and Sara Hoff, Regional Vice President Sales.
The team toured the manufacturing floor and key areas, to show progress and improvements including production, engineering, die-cutting, finances and human resources. With this tour the executive team was able to review the actions and objectives that have been established for 2024 to improve the production, service, and operations of the Tijuana plant.
An interactive Q&A session was held, where the Tijuana staff had the opportunity to ask the team questions about the current situation of the company, objectives, and the vision of our business. They also received personal tips from our leaders on how to continue growing and developing as professionals.
One of the most significant activities that took place during their visit was the Safety Commitment Signing, where Steve, Joe and Sara wrote their commitment to promote safety at the plant and safeguard the well-being of all Tijuana employees. We thank our leaders for their visit, and the Tijuana team for their commitment and dedication.

Thank you to our Beachwood Engineering team for sharing your time and expertise to mentor and inspire not only a potential career path but perhaps a new generation of Lighting Engineers!

Explore in 2024
Looking for our enterprise Engagement Survey Results? Check out our 8-minute video, highlighting key results here. We're introducing action planning committees that will come together to "Explore in 2024". This isn't just a slogan; it's a commitment to real action based on your feedback. Explore in 2024 begins with the Business Units and Functions reviewing group responses and results. In the month of April, each team will have a town-hall type meeting to dig into their data. Each group is expected to identify key areas to tackle and improve and create engagement action teams to plan for and implement actions throughout the rest of the year.
Did you see the solar eclipse?
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse took place in some areas of Mexico, the United States and Canada: that is, the Moon was placed between the Earth and the Sun and left many locations in the dark for, at most, 4 minutes and 28 seconds, according to NASA. Because it is an extraordinary event that only occurs once every approximately 400 years in the same place on the planet, many people came out to see this great event.

The Beachwood team was in the path bringing four minutes of darkness! Fun fact: Cleveland won’t be in the path of totality again until the year 2444.
Spotlight on Applause

Congratulations to our Quality Mangers in Acuna, who have given more than 120 Applause Recognitions each.
Over the past year, our EHS Manager, Alberto Jaramillo, and our Quality Manager, Sonia Martínez, have shone brightly by awarding each over 120 applause recognitions to our colleagues within and outside our site. Their unwavering commitment and dedicated efforts in recognizing and showcasing the hard work, perseverance, and loyalty of our team truly embody the core values that define our company.
This program has been a resounding success at our Acuña plant, and we want to extend this celebration by inviting other sites to increase the usage of this recognition platform. Together, we can continue to inspire and motivate our colleagues towards success and excellence!
